Review

Upon the first reading, this was not my cup of tea. However, the fact that this story was based on real events makes it much more interesting.
I feel that the writing left something to be desired, for example, why did Murphy take over their shared space; as opposed to continuing to share the space? What is the significance of pointing that out?
There were also other questionable undertones that give subtle hints of disunity. However, the illustrations are beautiful. And the fact that an eagle was able to care for unrelated baby eagles is nice.
Even though it was very brief, I enjoyed the end of the book which told more about the real life Murphy. That was the best part of this tale.
