This book presents an empowering take on anxiety.
It begins with explaining how anxiety can feel. This serves as a great primer for those who don’t understand, and it also serves as support for those who do understand. When going through something, it helps to feel accepted and supported.
The pictures of birds are a humorous touch. The end of the book gives the names of the birds which is very nice.
I like how this book validates one’s experiences while giving suggestions on how to reframe anxious thoughts into more empowering thoughts. Parents and teachers who promote self mastery may find resonance with the approach that this book takes.
Overall, this book presents anxiety as something outside of oneself; as opposed to something that should control the self.
