This book is a supportive take on ADHD. Like the other books in this series, this is a good gift to help family and friends understand how ADHD can manifest in behaviors.
Unfortunately, it seems to be heavy on the traits of ADHD and how it can make people feel bad. Therefore, I don’t feel that this book is as inspiring as All Birds Have Anxiety and All Cats Are On The Autism Spectrum.
I feel it would have been beneficial to be more affirming without so much shame. Or, if the shame is there, then offer hints on how to still feel empowered despite it.
However, the photos of the dogs are very cute and it’s a light read. Despite mild concerns, it’s a worthwhile book that may inspire feelings of being seen and validated.
